The Foals Are Here!

It is something we look forward to every year. As an animal rescue, we couldn't be happier than to participate in saving the lives of Premarin foals. This year, on October 26, Equine Angels Rescue Sanctuary (EARS) brought 10 foals for us to care for. The 7 colts and 3 fillies are settling in to their new paddock. The foals will remain in quarantine until the November Anna Twinney clinic (see details below) where they will be gentled. Come and see the group of survivors and welcome them to their temporary home.

The Foals Have Progressed Beautifully under Anna Twinney's Tutelage

The Premarin foals of 2010 have completed their first week of school! Along with a lot of important skills like leading and picking up feet, all have all learned to accept the compassionate leadership of their handlers and to appreciate positive reinforcement for their efforts. They are learning that boundaries exist when working with humans, but that they can trust that humans to treat them fairly and with kindness.

Many of these foals are still in need of forever homes. If you have the facilities and expertise to care for young horses, please contact us to meet the foals in person.
